Which eBay report do I need?
The Transaction report. In Seller Hub go to Payments, then Reports, and download it as a CSV file. It's free. The Orders report won't work because it has no fees in it.
Is my eBay data safe?
Yes. Takehome runs on your own computer and is blocked from connecting to the internet, so your report is never uploaded. There's no account, and you never enter your eBay password.
Do I need Excel or Google Sheets?
No. Takehome is not a spreadsheet template. It opens in your web browser and does the maths for you. No formulas, no setup.
What computer do I need?
A Windows or Mac computer with a current browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
Does it work outside the US?
Takehome is tested with English-language eBay.com (US) reports. Other eBay sites may work, but they're not guaranteed yet.
Will it remember my item costs?
Yes. Your costs are saved in your browser on that computer, so they're there next time. You can also save them to a file as a backup.
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay once and the file is yours. Open one month or a whole year of sales, as often as you like.
Is this accounting or tax advice?
No. Takehome is a profit report to help you understand your selling. For tax questions, talk to an accountant.
